Anyone seen flying pigs lately?

I still can’t believe it – Massachusetts elected a Republican … to where Ted Kennedy used to sit. This is truly inspiring to those of us stuck in blue states. If it can be done in the bluest state of them all, it can be done in any state. Maybe even here, in Commiefornia. And 2010 is the year to do it.

  1. MA has 51% voters registered as Independents, with 38% Democrat and only 11% Republican. California has managed through the voter registration requirements for Primaries, to capture more Dems/Repubs and marginalize Independent registrations.

  2. I know that. However, in the past 20 years overwhelming majority of these 51% voted indistinguishably from registered Democrats. As unlikely as it is to pull the same thing in Commiefornia, if 3 months ago somebody told me that it could be pulled off in Massachusetts, I’d have laughed in their face.
